Transform Your Jiu Jitsu Through the Power of Breath!

It's time to make breathing the new foundation of your BJJ!

Ready to transform your Jiu Jitsu experience?

I’m not talking about learning new techniques or adding more techniques to your game.

I’m talking about completely shifting gears, and making breathing the foundation of your training.

I’m talking about creating a new foundation to build your skills on (even if you already have tons of skill) through the power of breathing.

My name is Marty Josey and I recently won Gold at the Masters World BJJ championships. More about me later...

Have you ever experienced feeling anxious or panicky in bad positions (trapped on the bottom while being crushed)?

Have you felt like you couldn’t breathe and didn’t know what to do? Or even had to tap out due to pressure?

Do you gas out more quickly than you’d like or think you should (even though you train lots of cardio)?

Have you taken your Jiu Jitsu skills to a high level but still feel like you’re not where you want to be?

Do you sense that something’s missing despite your knowledge and technical skill level?

Transforming your breathing can solve these problems and many others.

What Makes This Program so Special?

Imagine how it would feel to be in the most smothering and suffocating positions and handle them with ease. Situations that would have caused you panic and fear before, but now you feel relaxed and confident in them.

What would it be like to train and roll with the ability to regulate your breathing on a whole new level-to have complete control of your breathing?

In as little as 15 mins per day, you can accomplish this!

Ready to start the transformation?

The Breathing for BJJ program is a 31-day online video program.

It’s a one of a kind program (although you can find a few short videos scattered across the internet that talk about breathing in Jiu Jitsu, they don’t go into any real depth on the subject or help you actually build you functional capacity to breathe on a much higher level). This program works on the biomechanical level and walks you through the “how” to build your breathing capacity and skill. By following the program and doing the daily exercises, you’ll build a solid foundation of breathing capacity. This will make you Jiu Jitsu experience more, fun, exciting, and enjoyable.

If, during the next year, you didn’t learn one more new technique, but learned how to use optimal breathing (and built a solid foundation by building your capacity to breath), your BJJ (as well as your life and health off the mat) would be a whole different experience.

Henry Akins about why breathing is important in BJJ..

Henry studied for many years with and was awarded his black belt from Master Rickson Gracie.

He knows the power of breathing in jiu jitsu very well and was so impressed with the program that he wanted to be part of it.

Ryron Gracie

Recently while at the Gracie University headquarters in Torrance, CA, I did a private breathing class for Ryron Gracie and Evandro Nunes (it was originally going to be Ryron only but soon after we started he said “Evandro needs to be here for this” and ran out and got Evandro and brought him into the session). Here’s what they had to say right after the session:

After the session, Ryron asked me to teach a group class at the headquarters the next day.

Who am I and why should you learn from me?

I started training in martial arts over 30 year ago and over the years has studied various arts including Shorin Ryu Karate, TKD, Kenpo (Black Belt), Progressive Fighting Systems/Contemporary Jeet Kune Do (PFS) (Apprentice Instructor), Fear Adrenal Stress Response (FAST Defense-Certified instructor), Submission Grappling, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

I have an MSN degree with Specialization in Education, and I'm Board Certified in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. I am also a Certified Health Coach, a Certified Neuro-Linguistic Programing (NLP) practitioner, and Certified Stress Management Consultant. I’m a former Neuromuscular and Sports Massage Therapist, and owned an integrated wellness clinic for many years, which offered Massage and Neuromuscular therapies, Stress Management services, and fitness training. I served as Stress Management counselor for Duke Medical system’s Cardiac Rehab & Wellness program, and Life Coach for the Duke Employee Wellness Program.

I recently competed in and won my division at the BJJ Masters World Championships in Las Vegas. As you can imagine, I trained my butt off to prepare for this competition. I’m not a frequent competitor so it was even more important that I did everything possible to be at my absolute best going into this huge event. I can say honestly say without reservation that my breathing (and the specific breathing training I consistently did) was what made the difference for me. Take a look at the 2 pics on the right. As you can see, in both of these pics my opponents look much more gassed than me. I really feel that my highly developed breathing was my “secret weapon” against the other competitors. I believed in it before the competition (doesn’t matter if you compete or not - developing your breathing is vital to your training in whatever arena you spend your time in), and believe in it even more after the competition.

My mission is to impact and empower as many people as possible on a deep level through giving them the gift of optimal breathing.

Is this program really for me?

When you break the price of the program down it comes to around $6/day. Many of the lessons are sessions with legendary Jiu Jitsu masters like Saulo RiBiero, Henry Akins, Pedro Sauer, Greg Nelson, etc. Private sessions with these masters would cost several hundred dollars each, and the rest of the sessions are with breathing expert Marty Josey (making the value of this program in the thousands). What you’re really paying for is the ability to completely transform your breathing ability. So the real question is can you afford NOT to purchase this program.

In a word, no. Increasing your cardio is a great place to start. It increases your heart's ability to pump blood more efficiently through your blood vessels. The problem is that when you try to increase or build your lungs’ capacity to perform better through full body exercise (cardio exercises), your breathing muscles tend to fatigue before your skeletal muscles which results in you “gassing out” before your breathing muscles are really exercised. The real solution is to exercise your breathing muscles themselves, by themselves, until you’ve built the ability for them to function at an optimal level. This program will get you there.

The truth is you do have time for this. We all make time for the things that are important-the things we really value. This program gives you maximum results with a small/short daily time investment. In as little as 15 minutes a day you can experience profound results!

100% Money-Back Guarantee

Purchase and fully commit to the program and after completing it if you aren’t convinced that your breathing ability has increased on a major level  I’ll refund 100% of the purchase price (with one condition)*

*The Condition: My only ask is that you fully commit to the program as it’s designed. In keeping with that, the condition is that you film yourself doing the homework assignments of at least 8 of the lessons spaced throughout the program (IE Lessons 2, 4, 11, 15, 19, 21, 26, and 30). The good news is that if you go ahead and film this, and then you love the program, you’ll have some great footage for a testimonial. Make sure to let me know when this happens so we can use it together!

Roy Harris

Roy Harris is a world renowned BJJ Black Belt and head of Roy Harris International. Here’s what he says about the importance of breathing in Jiu
Jitsu...

Whether you train martial Arts or not, the information you get in this class and the techniques you learn can help with your overall well being. Marty is a gifted teacher as well and really makes the complex simple. You should definitely take this class, especially if you train in BJJ/GJJ. I don’t fear knee on stomach nearly as much now that I can breathe through the pressure!.

~ Bill Österreich

As an older practitioner, I felt like I was losing some of my edge on the mat. The B4BJJ program has become my secret weapon. I have increased my ability to control my breathing 100% and I’m able to really enjoy my time on the mat much more now. I highly recommend the program!

~ Bob Garcia

I attended Marty's first Breathing for Jiu Jitsu seminar. Incredible content and great environment. Endurance had been an issue sometimes for me. With a few simple techniques and exercises to do at home I could tell a big difference not only on the mat but in everyday home/work life. Energy level is up and more alert. If you put in a little work , it's a game changer.

~ Chris Meadow

I've had trouble with my breathing my entire adult life. It's made athletic activity difficult for me for years. Marty's breathing workshop was very simple, pragmatic, and it yielded immediate results for me. My Jiu Jitsu coach used to call me Freight Train because I would suck up all the oxygen in the room huffing and puffing while rolling. My lung capacity, stamina and resilience have improved dramatically in a short time. Most people would benefit a lot.

~ Paul Nelson

Marty Josey’s Breathing for BJJ training system has been absolutely vital for me as someone who is brand new to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Not only is it extremely beneficial for BJJ, but also for anyone who engages in regular physical activity. As a beginner in BJJ it has helped me remain calm when training in compromising positions and helped me focus on what it is that I am learning rather than fighting to keep my breath. I had the pleasure of attending one of Marty’s Breathing for BJJ seminars very early in my BJJ training and I cannot begin to describe how beneficial it has been in the progression of my training. It’s a must for anyone, whether you are a white belt or a black belt!

~ Drew Trachy

I highly recommend attending Marty's breathing class. The importance of correct and enhanced breathing techniques to maximize cardiovascular performance cannot be overemphasized. As a physical therapist in practice for 23 years, I have always understood the importance of appropriate breathing to enhance health and performance in a person's daily and sporting activities. With participation in this course, you will walk away with practical and ready to use techniques to enhance and maximize your breathing potential, particularly for the benefit of enhanced sports performance, whether you are practicing Jiu Jitsu or any other athletic activity.
